Tavern Dice – A Game to Keep the Peace
Introduction
In the heart of a bustling medieval tavern, where tensions flare as fast as the ale flows, the barkeep has a simple rule—settle disputes with dice, not daggers. When words fail and fists clench, the peacemakers gather around the old wooden table, rolling fate into their hands. This is not just a game of luck but of wit, risk, and a little bit of trickery. Choose your role, roll the bones, and prove yourself not with steel, but with skill. After all, in this tavern, only fools fight when they could be playing Dice.
Rules of Tavern Dice
Objective
The first player to reach 10,000 points wins. Use your class abilities wisely to outplay your opponents!
Setup
- Each player chooses a class: Bard, Monk, Gambler.
- Grab six standard dice and a way to track scores.
- Players take turns rolling the dice and scoring.
Basic Gameplay
- On your turn, roll all six dice.
- Set aside at least one scoring die and choose to either bank your points or continue rolling the remaining dice.
- If you ever roll and cannot set aside a scoring die, you lose all points for that turn.
- The game continues until one player reaches 10,000 points, triggering a final round.
Scoring
- 1s = 100 points
- 5s = 50 points
- Three of a kind = (number × 100, except three 1s = 1,000 points)
- Four of a kind = Double the three-of-a-kind value
- Five of a kind = Triple the three-of-a-kind value
- Six of a kind = Automatic 3,000 points
- Straight (1-6) = 1,500 points
- Three pairs = 1,500 points
